i raced a evo today and got blown out. my car is 100% stock and his ran 12.6in the 1/4. wit a trap of 101mph. and my top was down so that didnt help. dont no what i was thinking lol.... after i do gears 373 and accufab throttle boddy and plenum and a jlt ram air kit what do u think i will be running plus i have borla exhust to that comes stock wit the saleen's..

Still not nearly as fast as that evo.

Best thing to do is install then test out how you do. There are to many factors to take into consideration with your times.

dont forget you will need a stick tire to get of the line. the awd evo can have a nasty launch.

what year is your car?

a 12.6 is pretty damn fast.....you'll need quite a bit to run those kind of times.....assuming your not blown or running spray.

You'll need to throw all the boltons at that car, or a power adder to run with him. not to mention some sticky tires to hook.
Plus side though your rocking a vert saleen and he is rocking a fourdoor 4 banger.

yea he was fast but all are races where on the highway so had a lil advantage thier. we started at like 30 and i would get like a car lenght jump but then he would fly by me every time. oh and to who asked my car is a 97.
i very rarly run from a dig most of my races are from a role.

oh and ps his best trap time was 101 which is really bad cus i see cars doing 13.7's wit almost that trap time.. i guess that shows what awd will do for u lol

Good god did he slam on brakes at the end of the track? Thats an awful slow mph for a 12...

I was gonna say the same thing I can trap 110 at a minimum at 12.6. I think he really let off the gas at the end or after he knew he had him.

damn stock 97 gt... yea no wonder... lol i was dickin around with an evo the other day on the highway, for all of 3rd i was damn even with him, then his 4th gear left me in his dust in a hurry, but u gotta figure thats not bad for a 6 banger like me...

You sure he wasnt just driving normally....lol.....jk...all EVO power lies in their starts from a dead stop with that damn AWD. But that turbo will still leave you in the dust since your a 6'er with no top end.

I barely pulled one car on this yellow Evo, spraying from a 60 roll......im sure it wasnt stock though.....

Evo's are crazy fast from a dig, but if you have some power you can run them down....assuming the evo isn't modded.

My live axle helps out big time from a launch cause it's harder to spin the tires from a dig, but evo's still get me....oh well, I'd rather pass them once I get going.

i have no doubt that a stock evo could keep with a mach 1 or an 05+ gt. these "ricer" 4 banger turbos are nothing to joke about these days. granted, its 276 hp pushing like 19 psi stock, but their motors can hold so much power. check out the cars at extreme motorsports here in MD, they are quite fast. now, granted, sean glazer only gets 2 runs out of each tranny in his TSi (using a bone stock tranny), but they are not a joke. for the money, they are very impressive. they can out handle mustangs, out launch mustangs, and easily have more HP. however, a mustang with the same work done would smash one, of course, but dollar for dollar, turbo 4 bangers are a better deal until you invest a LOT of money. i would like 276hp in an AWD form, and drop $2,000 into it, and be able to run low 11s, and hardly use any gas on the way to and from the track. the Evo's in japan come with larger turbos, with 400 hp from the factory from what i understand. sorry to rain on the parade, but they are fast.
plus, how cana you feel bad that an evo beat your bone stock 97? in 97, a bone stock eclipse could probably have beaten you lol. a lot of my friends have those little DSMs, and they have no problem keeping with me, as sad as that is when im pushing 400 to the wheels NA in a 94.

Yea I agree that the four bangers of today have def come a long way but they still are no sports car in my eyes. U have be to doors for that. But as for that evo they really aren’t that fast my friend’s evo the one that beat me ran a 12.6 granted fast but at 101mph., which sucks. It’s all in their awd that makes them what they are good off the line. After that not all that fast.
