First time going to the track
I know there has been a few threads just like this recently but im going friday and was wondering a few things...
My car is pretty much stock with exception of exhaust(gears are going in next week) but I do have bfg drags so around what rpm should i launch at? Also should i wet my drags or just do a dry burnout? Im just going to try to get use to it the first time but I want to do decent so any other pointers would be awesome |
ive only gone once but i have bfg drags
i didnt even spin the tires to clean em off or heat em up,just pulled up to line and launched at 3000 and pulled a 2.0 60 time |

run em at about 18 psi....i was launching at about 2500 rpms and with no spin, but no bog. I was doin dry "spins" where i lined up next to the burnout box and spun them hard until i got near the tree. next time i'm gonna do full blown burnouts

DO A BIG SMOKEY BURNOUT.
no water. this is why we're here. . . but seriousy you bought sticky tires, if you want them to stick you have to heat them up, and to heat them up you gotta roast them |
I was always told, and also read....
Drag Radials you have heat the sh*t out of them to stick Slicks you have to heat them up but not as much as Drag Radials. |
go around the waterbox and heat them up pretty good a 10 sec (one you see smoke) burnout should do it. then you gotta try different rpms but i would starts at 3000rpms and go from there. i would bet your gonna need more then that but start there.

Ok so 17 in just the drags or all the tires? And does it help to take out like my spare and stuff or dosent it matter
