Not really i could have got one for $22,500 when they first came out but i bought my GT like since months before and couldn't do it but i tried really hard. Normally they are only like a $1000 more than a loaded GT. Well worth the money.

that is way over my budget my car was 1/2 that price aka: my budget.

An 01 GT 5spd with 11k in mods is gonna be faster than that $22,500 Mach.

Yeah i didn't read the whole thread when i responded. But For brand new $22,500 is cheap for a Mach.

Yeah putting that extra $10000 in your car will definitely have you beating Machs but if they do the same then your screwed. I'm in the same boat though so don't feel bad. I love my GT too especially since it is paid off now.

I've had some close calls with some modded Machs but i'm running a 12.5. I had one that tore me a new one on the highway the other day just couldnt hang

Yeah before you do that you better have a rocket proof bottom end. Like billet aluminum everything and you might as well go 4v since you are spending that kind of money. Other wise your block will look like swiss cheese.

Lucky yours is paid for...mine is in the beginning of that race thus far. I am a bang for the buck guy I guess and for what 10K could do to a GT would be more than practical for my DD and I'm still in for less than the Mach....dont get me wrong, if I had the $$ I'd get the baddest stang ever(whatever that is)

I'm not sure where in the Country you could buy a Mach 1 for $22,500 new, but that's what I paid for mine with 27,000 miles on it.....I paid $26k for my 03GT vert so maybe in the midwest you could get a new one for that amount, but no way in Cali

It was in Florida. This dealership had like 50 of them at this back lot and was selling them for $23,500 and another $1000 rebate for me since i'm military. IF i just didn't buy my GT i would have been all over that.

wow, 50 mach's at 1 dealership! That's crazy. Yeah, Cali people pretty much get screwed on the price of everything because there is no way in hell you could find one for that price out here....I don't think anyway....If I was smart I would have got a brand new one instead of my 03 vert...they were about the same price.

I should have listened to my mom. She told me to wait until i finished Tech School for the military to buy my car and i should of. I could have had one too for alot cheaper than i paid for mine. Oh well lessoned learned. Moms are always right.

Im pretty sure the Mach is basically just a pre-sc cobra. since they SCd the cobra in 03, im guessing they wanted a reason to sell an NA 4v mustang, so they made a shaker hood and called it a Mach I. I didn't realize they were straight axle, but thats definately a good thing. Just let me say, i drove my friends 01 cobra vert, and it wasnt squat compared to my car, no mid range power, or bottom end tq. on the other hand, when i was driving my uncles stock 03 cobra for a few months, there was no range without power, and yet all i could do was whine. (bad joke, bad joke) :bash:
