Does the SLP Catted X-Pipe turn on the check engine light?

I am going to get the SLP Catted X Pipe if it wont set off my CEL, if it will however, I guess I will have to purchase the O/R version and get the MIL eliminators. Anybody know for sure if the Catted X-Pipe will set off my CEL or not. If not, does the stock O2 sensor plug right into the cats or what?

I think any after market mid pipe has a chance to set off the cell light. Just get a programmer and shut off the rear 02's. The o2 sensors do not plug into the cat at all. There are bungs in the actual pipe after the before and after the cats that the o2 sensor's plug into.

My Magnaflow Tru X w/c has'nt.

so do the o2 censor even plug in at all screw in at all into the pipe??? or do they just stay in my MIL's

I have the SLP catted xpipe and mine hasnt thrown a code.

Sometimes yes, I have seen it throw a code, but the majority of the time, no, it never throws a code.

Mine Hasn't

I got my SLP X pipe w/cats installed today, and after 80 miles or so, no check engine light. The the SLP pipe has the 4 holes for the O2 sensors, and everything should work and fit fine.

If it throws a code, theres probably a problem with your o2 sensors that cause it like loose connection or mabye a short in the wire.

my steering column shaft ripped the wired out of mine at the base so I ripped it apart and fixed it. That happened after finishing up header install. Mine still hasnt thrown a code.

most of the time if you have a catted midpipe and you get a code its because you have an exhaust leak

Code on mine with slp

On my 2002 gt I put SLP loudmouth and highflow xpipe 2 cats...at the same time I installed accufab 75mm intake and tb and mine threw a code. Did not know if it was TB and intake but I needed to add MIL adapters...easy fix.

I DID have a code thrown on my SLP catted xpipe, but I also had the SLP LT's so that might of made it worse. My check engine light didnt come on tho for prolly close to 200 miles. I just had my tuner turn them all together.

with stock headers and a catted x-pipe you shouldn't throw a code, but if you did want to get the o/r x-pipe you could just get a hand held tuner and have the rear o2's turned off :)
