Mud flaps
 

My 2004 40th anniversary ed. mustang keeps on getting mud splashed up on the side, resulting in me cleaning it all the time. So I was looking for a set of splash-guards/ mud flaps. I couldn't find any for my mustang at the local part stores, and was unwilling to just screw up cheap generic mud flaps. I was looking online, but I can't get a feel for what would look right. Too be honest, I prefer the look without the mud flaps, but I fear I will scratch the paint if I don't add them (lots of gravel around where I live). Does anyone have splash-guards/mudflaps they like, and would suggest that I buy? Otherwise I think I will go with the "Ford Mustang Factory Molded Splash Guard Mud Flap Kit". It's around $70, and looks like the best option right now, even though I haven't seen a picture of them on a mustang.

Look into the clear bra stuff.Almost invisible and will protect your paint.

Can i get an order of mudflaps with a side of Mullet?

Ya them naked lady ones are pretty classy Momacita. Just have to make sure there them cool chrome ones ahuck. Next after I grow that mullet I'll have to start to chew, skoal only none of that sissy cheap stuff. But seriously, does anyone know of a good set of splash guards and mud flaps for a 2004 mustang? I'm not going to get a car bra. Although I have seen some that look good, I prefer the look without them and I don't think they will be necessary.

I'm not taling about a leather bra.I'm talking about the clear film you put on that protects your paint.You can't even tell it's there.

Is there any serious advise on this issue or am I on my own? I don't want huge flaps, just something small that will prevent my car from stripping the paint when it kicks up gravel. I won't be on gravel roads often, but I do drive on tar and chipped roads a lot, which often will have some loose gravel around them. The flaps are in no way to add to the cosmetics of the car, I want them just for their functionality. Basically I am looking for the smallest functional splash guards, and mudflaps. I know I am not the only person with this problem considering ford does make mud flaps for the mustang. What I would really like is possibly a picture of what some of these splash guards/mudflaps look like on a mustang, and some real advise as to what I should go with.

The clear bra is a good idea for protecting my car from other vehicles. But I can assure you if I am on a road with a lot of gravel, I will keep my distance from the car ahead of me. My car really needs protection from itself, from the rock it throws up, especially around turns. I could conceivably take my turns slower, but lets be honest that's not going to happen. However thanks for the advise, I didn't know about the clear bra before, and some day I might want to look into that. Do you know how long they last? Or how hard they are to install?

Thanks madmatt the clear car bra plastic for behind the rear wheels is exactly what I need :D . They should protect my paint without the need of big mud flaps. I didn't know they made those for behind the rear tires.
