Question on projector kit
 

I'm looking at this kit right now.

My question is, do you still have the ability to use the high and the low beams simultaneously? The HID kit I bought off of AM for my 2001 has the high and low beam function, but doesn't allow both to be used at the same time.

I have a couple other questions, but I'm gonna search around a little more before I ask them.

The HID kit you bought is made for the OEM style housings, not projectors. The high-beam is built into the bulb, it just changes the angle of the light. Projectors have seperate high/low beams. Projectors are terrible for light output and looks anyway, get some smoked clear corner headlights or something..

I dont think I worded that correctly. I'm looking at the projectors for the 05+ stang, not the 2001. I want to know how the high/low beams work on that kit. Like if I am driving around, can I turn on the highs/lows and make the sun come out at night? I only mentioned my 2001's HIDs because I had the problem of not using both the highs and lows at the same time.

You can probably keep both high and low's on if you just pull back on the high beam switch and don't click it all the way into high beam function... Still doesn't do you any good though honestly, because I have never seen an aftermarket "projector" for a Mustang that could put out anywhere close to OEM light. The look kinda cool, but as far as functionality goes.. They are teh sux.

Hmm, I guess that would depend on if the stock H13 bulbs ignite both elements when the highbeams are on or not. I am not sure about that...I would have to check the base on a '05+ with a multimeter.

I've had projectors on numerous of my cars in the past. I wouldn't put them on the mustang due to the low amount of light versus the OEM ones. Now adding an HID kit is something different and can add some massive amount of light. Also replacing the fog lights with HID's can have added light, lol.
