Yeah, I got 'em. Gave me a perfect drop. Rides stiffer, but I like the way it rides much better than stock.

Cheap too, can't beat 'em. Get 'em if you're thinking about it.

thanks

ya i was really thinkin about gettin them. Theres way to much room between the tire and fender. Did you order your C-Springs off of mustangtuning.com? or another site? Oh and how much of a drop would you say you got? Post some pixs if you can thanks!

sacstoy02gt 05-18-2005 02:26 PM

I figure 1.25" drop or so.

I've got some pics here...

I finally got mine installed yesterday. I also put on some KYB struts and shocks. MY RIDE IS GREAT! I couldn't be happier with the ride, handling and the looks. What a deal. Check out the pics.

Looks great! It'll settle a bit more too, so you might get an extra 1/4" in drop yet

Has anyone tried shaving or wearing down the rubber on the isolators to give a little more drop? It was a idea that came into my head so that the road noise wouldnt be so bad if you took them off all together.

Instead of that, get a bicycle tube and cut lengths that will go around the coil all the way. Tape it snug w/ electrical tape to make sure it doesn't move when putting them in. That will help the drop a bit, and keep road noise down.

Good idea. Wrap the whole coil? How thick? And how much more road noise than having the actual isolator?

Just wrap the one coil revolution(top or bottom), where the isolator used to be.

I haven't done this yet, but I have heard it works well.

IIt's got me thinking now and I might be the first to comment if it works or not. If it doesn't then i'll just put the isolators on.

Will the C-springs work on a 96 cobra, or does the cobra already have a "lower" suspension? Thanks.

A matter of fact if i'm correct the C-springs should work I saw one the other day. Since the 1996 Cobra model doesn't have independent rear suspension they should work.

Icefreezen 06-09-2005 06:48 PM

Installed

Just installed C-springs and they look sick. I love them. Doing the rear end was a b**** but well worth it!

njbrey 06-16-2005 12:16 PM

if you get the c lowering springs, do you need to replace struts and whatnot or is that drop easy enough on the car that you can just put the springs in and go?
thanks in advance

Lances03SVT 06-16-2005 01:05 PM

Should'nt need nothin but the springs depending on how many miles are on it.

rebelleader 07-10-2005 11:05 PM

I have an '01 GT Vert. Will these C springs be the same for me? I heard the Verts have stiffer springs in the back. Thanks.

04Mustang 07-10-2005 11:11 PM

I dont see why they would be different...Im not sure though

My springs arrived a few days ago and will be installed by next week :D
