I have a 94 GT and i want a good set of heads and a cam

What would be a good combo? i was thinking about getting the afr 165cc heads. My car has a few mods, a bbk cold air intake, trick flow underdrive pulleys, pypes off-road x-pipe, and flowmaster exhaust.

AFR makes the best performing heads out of the box. Replace the rocker arm studs that they have with a set of ARP studs. Out of ten engines I've built and installed with these heads, the first two broke a rocker stud. I never took that chance again and never had that problem either.

I'd stick with a cam that has a relatively mild duration on it. Something like a Comp XE270HR or a Ford Racing E-303.

Unless you get a better intake, all of this will be pretty disappointing. I like the Edelbrock Performer RPM. Trick Flow makes a nice top end kit with everything. You'll just need a throttle body adapter.

AFR heads are where its at in my book. Just don't be a jackass and get a cam/heads that are to big for your needs. Bigger isn't always better when it comes to a small motor like a 302.

on a stock 302 bottom, you're probably going to want aft165's and a cam with somewhere like 220 degrees of duration @ .050. Much more and you'll be getting more radical than you need on a street car. When you do those heads and cam, do the intake manifold too or you waste about half the money.
