what to do?

I am currently interested in putting new heads on my car, along with a new cam and, upper and lower air intakes. This will be my summer project. I was thinking Ford Racing or World for the brands of heads. Now the cam I'm not sure on. The intake I want is the BBK SS (the new one). What would be some suggestions. I know the World heads are very cheap in price at about $600.00 a piece. Im not quite sure what the best combo would be to get the most bang for the buck. And if I bought one at a time which should I start out with to not cause complications? Thanks

I have heard a rumor that a 96 Explorer 5.0L engine has good parts on it. Someone told me that the heads and intakes off of one of those makes a large difference over the stock engine in my car. Is this true or are they lying to me? I was wondering if this is a cheap way to get extra HP.

No it is true. The heads are the GT40 p heads. They are a good bang for your buck modification. Trust me, I have em. You can install them in an afternoon too. = )

Can you give me a rough estamite. Also how about the GT 40 heads off the 96 explorer, because they aren't the P heads. I want all my exhaust to bolt right up.

I'm getting no replies here. Does anyone have a clue on this subject?

I have a 95 Cobra. I have the AFR 165, Edelbrock RPMs and lunati cam (51014) and its pretty strong. Don't know the HP/Torque numbers as its a freshly built 306 and won't hit a dyno until she has more miles on it. Just got the tweecer so I will be doing some tuning soon. If the World heads are 600 each you may want to take a look at the AFR heads. Peace
