Worth Buying?

Hey guys. Im thinking about buying my first 5.0. It's a 1990 GT. The odometer on the car reads 297,000. With an engine replacement, how long can a body be expected to last? it seems to be in nice shape, with just one rust spot under the driver's door. I havent talked to the owner about it, but im almost sure it's a new motor. is the body worth the investment?

Kind of important... how much is the investment, lol

$3,000... its cammed, larger mass airflow sensor, holley manifold, bbk shorty headers, x pipe, and 18" hp rims...

well for a project car its alright

for a daily driver not... If you will need to depend on this car then yer better off not even considering it...

There really is no value for a car of that age and that many miles. It is probably only worth about $750. When you are talking about that many miles, you have to consider wear on everything including transmission and suspension. It really depends on the condition of the car and what you are willing to spend on it.

Based on what you have said, I probably would not spend more then $1500.
