lol.... it all depends on prices.

i dont mind dropping 1800 for a tko600.... i dont mind spending 1500 on a better rear end whatever that will cost..., i dont mind dropping nearly 4k for a crate engine,...

but the 400hp+ carbed crate engines ive seen usually cost about 2-3k LESS than the EFI...

those are the turnkey crates though. i guess if i can salvage the EFI from the stock, and use that without racking up a big bill, i might go that way.

It kind of all depends on what you buy really. Why are you soo dead set of pullin g the motor out of it? Those 5.0's from the 87-92 are strong mother ****ers. I know a guy local who tried to kill his 91's motor (stock H,C,I just bolt on's and full exhaust) with a 200wet shot. It did over 60 passes on the 200shot and he gave up trying to kill it because he couldnt wait any longer to put in his 408ci windsor.

I mean a H,C,I 302 with spray is a fast s.o.b.

I agree he should use the stock block... and build a nice motor from there...

But go carb'd... lol

LOL....

Mostly just because i want to. <grin>

it doesent take long on the internet to find 450+hp 351wcrate engines.

i really want to be in the 400hp club, and i would like it to be all Motor. No supercharger, no turbo, no spray.

I want that muscle car sound, and more than just HAVING the car i want the experience of doing all of this stuff.

this car thing is not something bred into me, my ol man cant even change the oil on his car. My brother is not much better. Ever since i got the mustang i have been getting more into the stuff. The problem with the 04GT is im still paying for it. I'd rather pay off a 5.0 and put in a bigger engine just cause it sounds like fun.

ever since i replaced the clutch in my honda ive been waiting for something else to break cause doing that shit was a blast and i cant wait to get in and tear something apart and put it back together. like somethin woke up in me.

ive always been good at fixin shit. Thats what i have done for most of my adult life in one form or another was fixing things. Now ive had the chance to cut my teeth by dropping out the tranny on the honda and swapping the clutch,. Now i seriously cant wait for something else to break so i can get back in there.

i wanna get a 5.0. i wanna gut the mother****er out, throw it on a rotisserie and paint it. I want to put in as much new shit as possible and basically built the damn thing from the ground up.

im not against using old parts, but i want it to look slick inside and out.

i dont expect to have it done in a year. or 2. or 5 years.

All in all i guess it is the whole dream of building up a car from the ground up. the Foxbody is a good starting point in my view.

I want it to look so goddamn nice that everyone looks at it and thinks "Hot Damn that is nice" and then i wanna be able to whoop STI's, SRT-8s, and EVOs if i needed to.

and i want to know that i did all this shit. So far i havent found a single thing i couldnt do (except wear a rubber apparently HAHAHAHAHA) when i tried it. This just seems like the next logical step since im done with my house.
