a cai from am is a great way to start and add that little extra note to the symphony your boot tells the engine to play. powerwise yes its about 2-3 on a dyno....not noticible really just by feeling it. if your looking for bang for buck, bolt ons are a GREAT place to start. thats what most people who are just warming up to their cars do. another good idea(this is everyones fav mod) is gears. 3.73 for a manual and 4.10 for an auto....this is what everyone will agree with im quite certain. once you get use to constant addition of power you can look into either swaping the stock s/c for a t4 turbo(or any turbo YOU like), or you can get a better sc and end up playing with it on the dyno to tune it properly so it can push your ass across the finish line as fast as you can.
some will also say nitrous...... however i have never installed it, used it, or involved myself with it. so i cant help you on that one. concluding.......gears should probably come first, then some bolt ons, then get yourself going with power adders. edit: sorry...i forgot GET A CAM!!!!! and then if your a speed freak get some rockers and rollers. potentially bad for a dd car but if your a drag fiend theyre great for you. |

with a cobra I would get a JLT intake. The gains are much different on a cobra than a v6 lol so none of that 2-3 hp gain haha
