White04GT 11-25-2005 12:01 PM

where did you buy your LT's from?

flyinfox 11-25-2005 12:30 PM

nice exhaust thats the set up i wanna get how hard where the headers to put on tho

PureStang 11-25-2005 02:19 PM

the process is fairly difficult if a) u dont have the knowledge and b) dont have the right means of putting them on (ie lift, jackstands, engine hoist, etc.)

or u can shove another 3-400 for a mechanic to do it....unless u got a buddy who will do it for dirt cheap...

40thblckgt 11-25-2005 04:16 PM

I bought them brand new from a guy who had to pay off his loan on something...for like 550! Great deal huh?

Installation wise, Brandon J is right....you need to have basic knowledge of what you're doing, as well as the right tools and equipment. LT's are by NO MEANS easy for installation...many people drop the K-member in order to obtain access to the stock headers and put on the LT's. I went a different route. By loosing the motor mounts and jacking the car up on a lift, I didn't have to drop the K-member. (after dropping the K-member you have to get a wheel alingment, therefore staying away from that option)...about a 6-8 hour process if done right!

yeah those digital guages were sick as hell

whitethunder46 11-25-2005 09:29 PM

Got the same set up, with the catted x-pipe, are ur's catted or off road? Didnt realize how loud the car really is until hearing someone elses! What size back wheels and tires u got on that by the way?

40thblckgt 11-26-2005 06:43 AM

Spike Africa...there are three digital gauges...on the far left is voltometer, middle is a speedomoter up to 200mph, and far right is acceleration measured in g-forces...you can change them out to lateral g-forces, compass, etc...accuracy is perfect, wiring and hooking it up took a well spent 7 hours!

Whitethunder46...My x-pipe is catted, but since I'm blowing it at the end of Dec. I'm just going to switch over to un-catted. I'm running 18x10's in the rear and 17x9's in the front. For rubber, I'm using BFG DR's G-forces 315/30/18R and up front BFG G-force KDW (for traction) 271/40/17F!

Thanks for the compliments guys!

PureStang 11-26-2005 06:51 AM

40thblckgt 11-26-2005 07:15 AM

One question... Where'd you pick up the digital gauges? Ok, one more..heh. This is gonna be stupid, but you are talking about the gauges that are coming from where you'd normally have a CD Deck, yeah?

40thblckgt 11-27-2005 09:40 AM

The digital gauges come built into the features of the of the AVC N-2 DVD/Navi system...
