Its all part of doing a track day, nothing bad happened to his car, just got allot of dirt in it. It’s still the safest way to check out the handling of your car. Nice thing about Button Willow is the track is tight, this keeps most of the cars in the same speed range and the fastest speed is about 120 for the vetts. Allot of HP and torque is fun but at the track to much in a corner and you are in the dirt.

I am part of a track day group, if anyone here in the California area is interested in checking it out go to our website and register and be put in the list. We then send out an email about the track day. We only allow a maximum of 15 cars per tracks day. We have the track the entire day. Almost everyone that does it once is hooked.

Ive done a similar track run at road america www.roadamerica.com between the races and man was that fun. Only thing I wish I really had was the 13" big brake kit because them corners dont look as tight as they do at 80mph. Sad thing is that I ran out of gas and had to put 100 oct in so I could get to the gas station. It was 6 bucks a gallon, but it ran so nice after even with me driving it like an old grandma and not passing 1500 rpm and heat on full blast in the summer. I was really scared that i would throw off the timing or do worse. But, I made it to the gas station allright and car ran great even after.

Sucks to hear your buddy lost it but its great that hes ok. I really suggest track runs to those who havent tried it for fun.

I would love to try out Road Atlanta, looks like agreat track. I upgraded to the Brembo 13" Cobra R kit for track use. Also the Cobra Daytona seats make a big improvement.
