Tail of the Dragon In-Car Video.

OK, so I've got some of my video edited and uploaded to youtube. The video is shot with my digital camera, so it honestly is not the absolute best quality, but I thought it all turned out pretty good, considering.

Sorry about the Music playing in the first two videos, I completely forgot about the camera until the 3rd video.. lol

I do have some more video to edit and hopefully I'll have it uploaded tonight or tomorrow. If all else fails, we've got another long weekend after tomorrow, so I'll get it done by then.

Let me know what you think! :)

This first set of videos is From the Deals Gap side of the road, longer more sweeping turns, a little more high-speed.

PS. I tried to cut these down between a 1-2 minutes for faster loading times that's why there are so many of them.

None of the suspension, but it did get shaken around bad enough to crack the rubber grommet that the fuel tube goes through into the tank.. lol Wasn't anything bad, but it was scary to see fuel coming out of the tank when we parked at the cabin the next day..

The FR500 wheel is awesome. If I ever get another SN that will be one of the first additions. Soooo much better than the stock wheel.

Yeah, she had a lot of fun! Throwin her around the car was hilarous!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

It really is a ton of fun, can't wait to go back next year. Why does August have to be so far away? Oh well, plenty of time to mod!

I've got two more videos done, going to wait to post them until I have them all finished.

Thats an awesome road. That kind of speeds do you get up to on it? You was killing me with the one hand on the wheel. Makes me nervous haha.

I was doing so much shifting between 2nd & 3rd I almost had to keep one hand on the wheel and one on the shifter! lol

I'd say we were running between 25-65mph for the most part. Could have potentially gotten a little faster for a split second, but a majority of the day 50mph was pushing it hard!

It looks like some good fun. I wish I could have the chance to drive it, but I'll never get that far East. I am contemplating making the trip to Nashville for a track day, but I'm going t try and trailer the car there. The curvature of the Earth and techtonic plates don't apply to Texas so we have no curvy roads. At school in Arkansas we are the base of the Ozark Mnts. but you gotta go 30 miles north to get to any good stuff.

I'm going this spring, when the rest of my suspension is done.

If you make any plans to come out, I'd love to meet up with you. I'm definitely planning on making some open track days there this coming year.

I'll have to see what I need to do to renew my SCCA license because it's been expired for several years now. :(

I'm not even going to renew my SCCA liscense this comming year. I'm going to move to NASA in case I ever want to do CMC or AI. I haven't done much autocross this past year. Also, my last track day, I was on track with a newly SCCA club racing liscensed driver that was horrible. He was a track hog, didn't know how to drive a correct line, and wouldn't give point-byes, he had a fast car, but didn't how to drive. I know that there are people like that in every body of racing, but I don't like being on track with thoes kind of people.

All you would need to do to renew your liscense is go to the SCCA website and pay whatever the fee is nowadays if you just want a autocross liscense. They used to do a thing where if you attended a Solo II event, you'd get a weekend membership, but it also included a $15 dollar discount for a year-long membership. I usually paid $30 a year.
