Ok i saw this on SVTP and it totally pissed me off. I wouldve loved to have been there to personally beat this guy into a concussion, just because if you can do it to a mentally challenged person try doing it to someone who knows what they are doing as well. and for the record karate SUCKS BALLS. Everyone in that video should be doing time. it gives legitimate martial artists a bad rap. This so called "black belt" sucked just about as much as the mental guy

the guy who got his ass whipped certainly had some moves. he may have had a speech impediment, but i dont see any evidence of mental retardation.

as for the guy who stomped him in the head repeatedly after he was already unconcious, somone oughtta put a cheap bullet between his eyes and throw his carcass out in the dumpster and forget about him like yesterdays garbage, thats all the respect i would give to somebody like that. Not to mention he gives a VERY bad name to martial artists everywhere.

Whether he really was mentally retarded or not this guy had some skill. Check out his reaction time to the first seemingly "unprovoked" attack by the black belt. Yes, the guy is waving his arms around like he's trying to be in a Bruce Lee movie but he is almost on par with the "real" black belt until the end when he starts going all out.. To be able to keep up with the ex marine the guy either had some pretty good training, whether by himself or from a teacher. I don't know if any of you have ever been a part of any martial arts classes or anything, but there is a huge difference between watching a fight and being part of one. You have to have keen senses to predict where/how the other guy is going to hit, especially when fighting against black belts who have years upon years of training. Not only do you have to be able to predict their moves but you have to be fast enough to counter/block it in time.

I wouldnt be surpised if that was the case. I agree the guy was pretty well trained too, he blocked/connected/anticipated too effectivly to be untrained, plus he had the blackbelt down on his ass at one point too. IMO they were pretty close to being on level ground untill the blackbelt made that deciding connection, and even after that the wierdo was back up and moving.

i wonder if that guys Dojo was the inspiration for the COBRAS on the Karate Kid. lol

If I had to call it...Id say he was more than likely autistic, and judging from experience, most people with autism are anything but completely "gone" upstairs. So maybe he just had an amazing imagination and pulled some moves out of his ass, or maybe he had training. Either way that was fucked up on the marines part. And judging from how the guy in white was fighting.....Im pretty sure I could beat his ass from those weak ass kicks, and knees he was throwing. His shit seemed sloppy. Plus, Karate is pretty awful anyway.

It's too bad you won't get a chance, I think he's still serving time for various other beatings/assaults if my information is correct.. And that video is like 25 years old, you really wanna take on a hardened 45-55 year old criminal? lol
