Default 02GT vs 5.0 Beech Bend Raceway

One of my runs from 3 weeks ago. 13.09 prior to my tune.
Only got 4 runs in that day. That lane hooked well but the trap speed reading was off, I ran 103+ in the right lane but it did not hook as well.

Thanks, I saw your signature. 100 in a six banger in the quarter is damn fast! You got gears in it yet?

looks like you jumped the light but that was 13 flat with no power adder and that right there is friggin sweet. looks like my 3.73's aren't going to get me what i want. my roomate isnt getting the performance he had hoped for. i was running consistant 13.6 at 100. what do you think 373 will bring me down to. i would like to hit 13.3 at 103-104. i still havent had my car tuned yet so there is more power to be found. next sat will have a new 1/4 times base line prior to tune.

Yep I red lighted on that run. Lucky it was test and tune, lol. I ran 3.73's prior to my 4.30's. I never got below 13.7 with them. That was before the torque converter. With the torque converter I could have gone 13.2's with my current mod's. I you are going to do gears I would suggest 4.10's if you drive alot on the street. I put 4.30's in because I am going to eventually retire this car to mostly track duty.
If you are running 13.6's with stock gears 3.73's should at least drop you to 13.4 - 13.3's.

Your car romps for being bolt on only. What kind of converter are you using and what is the stall?

I have a 2600 rpm stall from RoadRunner. It has done a fine job.

hey man i was at atco tonight and my best run with my stock gatorbacks at 20 psi yielded me a 2.08 60' and 13.57 at 102. i had traction problems at the start and 1st to 2nd squealed pretty bad. i wish i had 275 out back instead of 245. i just put on those tokico shocks and struts from a mach 1 do you think that could keep me from breaking a 1.9 60 footer since i have a stiffer ride?

i went with 373 b/c i'm gonna get a procharger in a few months, i think it should be a good combo. there was a guy out here tonight from West Chester, PA with a 04 aod e gt with a kenne bell (11 psi pulley) and 373 installed no other mods and he ran a 12.09 with 245 45 nitto drag radials. he said that he was pulling more boost because it was about 40 degrees out.

What mods do you have done, the reason I want to know because I might be in line to get an 05 GT, and I hate power adders and go N/A on everything. and my friend has this srt-4 and I'd like to **** all over him lol.

Stanger, the best I ever got out of my stock tires was a 2.02 60 foot. Some of that was due to the 3.73's and stock converter.

As far as power - I have pullies, plenum and 75mm TB, X pipe with cats and catback. When I made that run I had a timing adjuster but have since switched to a SCT 4 bank chip and ran 12.89 and trapped as high as 107.
My biggest gains were from the converter and 4.30 gears. If you want to run without a power adder concentrate on beefing up the rear end, gears and sticky tires. The new cars will run 12's with just a little power over stock if set up right. Just add exhaust and traction. I have seen a new 05 GT go 13.6 bone stock. With gears and slicks they will run 13 flat no problem. The 3 valve heads flow good.

really that's awesome! Yeah i guess the 4.30 geras would help alot, lotta shifting >_< but worth it on the track.

So an X pipe, and gears, that wont be too bad the problem with geras on the v6 is the t lock and crap, the GT already has it that 'll be a ncie cheap easy mod ^^

But I'll look into those, I really hope I can get that damn car, I love the v6 but I need to race and I dont have themoney to turn a six into race anymore.

thanks for the info man ^^
