star trek teaser
Personally I can't wait. Hope it will be at the beginning of the 1st trek mission. Right after 1st contact, or maybe blending with the enterprise series, any trekkies on this forum? I'm out of the Closet now... LOL :p

thats the issue...theyre building the enterprise...on earth? every trekkie worth his salt knows they built the enterprise in dry dock...it orbits the earth....plus the enterprise doesnt have landing and takeoff capabilities...so watchin guys build it on the outskirts of some city doesnt make sense
|
The first enterprise must have been built on earth. The 1st movie showed the ship being built on dock. But I think this is before that.. Anyway, I hope it coincides with "enterprise" the last series.. I really liked that show..

San Francisco Yards built it.
"According to my data" The first "Constuitution Class Starship" was to be built at the San Francisco Yards, Orbiting Earth. First Commisioned by Capt. Robert April, then by Capt. Pike and finnaly Kirk. It remained in service untill 2284 at which point it was assigned to Training duty at Starfleet Academy. ;)
Yeah, we all have a little Trekky in us! |

That's Lt. Dan...he work's in Engineering...Yellow Shirt! :p
Who cares about the red shirt dude...he won't make it to the end of the episode anyway....they never do! |
I think Ryker was a red shirt.. Anyway, I grew up watching the 1st series. And I liked all the following series to a certain point. Most of the movies were good. I hope this one can break through and add some suspense to the whole genre.. I actually liked the 1st movie best, but geez it's old as dirt now, and I only have it on VHS. LoL it's grainey to say the least..
I think I like star trek because I used to smoke a fat doob before watching the movies. They go great together, but I gave that up a while ago.. :smokin: |
If they make another chitty movie I'll be pissed. I just know they're going to try and use the Star Trek: Enterprise series as the basis which sucks the hugest of monkey cack. I don't know about any of you but I've seen every episode of every Star Trek series and all the movies and if there's anything all that experience tells me, they're definitely going to screw this one right up even worse than all the rest (because they get worse each time, especially the even numbered Movies), alienate (pardon the pun) their entire fan base and finally kill off Gene's beautiful idea.
EDIT: How many conspicuous Doritos and Coke adverts are in the movie I wonder... |
I am proud to say Ihave no trekkie in me. I never did like Star Trek one bit and will probably not see this movie. I always like Star Wars better. At least they used swords and such and no gay little photon stun lasers or whatever they use.

Warhammer 40k FTMFW ;)

Phasers?!? We don't need no stinking Phaser!

There's a shocking amount of swordplay throughout the series (aw damn... here I go).
Aside from the above, there were at least 3 other TOS episodes I can think of that had some manner of sword play in them (odd that a starship would have 3ft long knives on board), including a hilarious scene of George Takei (Sulu) prancing bare-chested through the halls of Enterprise brandishing a sword. In the NG series you just can't keep them from making broads fight with pointy shit (Tasha Yar and Yareena in "Code of Honor"), and the Klingons seem to have a batleth or giant knife on them pretty much all of the time, hell even Picard picked up a steel as Robin Hood fighting Q's interpretation of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Platters more klingon knifeplay can be had on the spinoff DS9 series. Voyager doesn't even hardly count as a ST series so much as soft core pr0n for geeks with no sense of plot and had only a couple episodes where swordplay could be enjoyed but thankfully had many episodes with 7of9 play hehe. Enterprise was a utter disappointment that probably caused the suicides of 10's of truly sad dorks with no life during its original airing and had almost no pointy weapon action at all. Plenty of Jolene Blalock wiggling her non-ass and misshapen implants around the ship in totally un-Vulcan fashion though. There... I'll just shut up now. |
Star trek is for homos :)
