This video played on our student news at school last week, but really has nothing to do with school. I filmed and directed it, and my best friend is the red head kid.

I know it was supposed to be funny, but I have such a huge dislike for anything that depicts the promotion of materialistic attitudes. "you gotta have swagga, blingage, a phat whip, twankys...etc." Basically the "thug" mentality...a plague on our country.

why is he coming out the passenger side door?

As for what zigzagg321 said I agree. I see the humor in the video and think it's pretty funny. Funny thing though is if he's looking to impress 90% of the teenage girls in this country that's pretty much all he has to do. It's kinda sad really... :shakeno: I wish these kids would turn off MTV and pick up a book now and then.

Cuz i was driving. we could have done a scene with him coming out the driver door, but my dad doesnt want ne else in the driver seat

Having a positive attitude and confidence in yourself isnt materialistic. This video doesnt depict thug mentality at all. There is no violence, no crime, no degrading of women.

You can just say the "thug" lifestyle is materialistic. Look at white surburia and their foreign cars, and huge houses.

It was made just to be funny and thats it, you're just overthinking the whole thing

ANY depiction of the plague that rapes our nation...aka "thug" mentality, puts a bad taste in my mouth...under any circumstance.

Its cool...I'm really not knocking your vid...it was funny. It just made me think about the "thug" issue. no biggie.

My solution for thugs is .30-06 and 9mm

hmmm...but what is really was...was just a comment on the fact that one of the guys in the video was portraying something that is despised by many.
