Post Porting throtle body & intake?

I just got a 99 v6 and I know that the easiest no cost hp gainer is to port the intake and throttle body.

I got the tools but need info on how do do it correctly and how much to port them.

You can either half-shaft your throttle body or you can port the inside of it and fab up a new butterfly to fit. Or you could buy a 70mm BBK for about 200 bucks.

As for porting the intake. Most places sell porting kits for rotary tools (dremel). Like summit/jegs etc. If you port your intake your also gonna need a flex shaft so you can get up inside with the rotary tool. Just make sure to match up the intake runners so you dont have any leaks. If your also going to port the lower make sure to match it up to your heads as well. You may also want to buy a set of intake manifold gaskets incase one of em gets torn up when you take it apart. Depending on how much you port it you can get about 5-10hp or more out of it.

Heres a writup on how to half-shaft your TB.
