Two Questions

Hey,

1.) I got a take-off GT Catback exhaust system and I'm looking to replace the mufflers, which muffler's should I use that will work with the system to give me a more throaty sound?

2.) I'm looking to get 18x9 Hypercoated Saleen Rims for end of the quarter/goodgrades/birthday from my father. I'm going to buy them from Mt.com and before I have my father whip out his credit card for the rims (I still have to pay for the tires) I wanted to know if the rims would fit without any rubbing since the car is lowered. I know that this type of concern has been brought up a lot of times, but its my turn damnit!

Here's a picture, maybe it'll help.

Those are stock 16" with an unknown base.

No rubbing...mine only rub if I turn the wheel COMPLETELY to the side, and thats Extremely rare... SpinTECH SPINTECH SPINTECH mufflers...they're straight mufflers sound Great i'll find you a sound clip, but they really do sound good....if you look on 3.8mustang.com they have a bunch of clips there too...

I agree Spintech or magnaflows

id say go with dynomax superturbos, they are cheap and sound awesome on a v6, they sound about the same as the spintechs.

Well my father ended up getting the 18x9 chrome saleens for my birthday, so now I need to figure out what kind of tire I need. I believe someone suggested that a 265/35 wouldn't rub on a 2 inch drop... but I'm not sure someone correct me on that if I'm wrong.

Also, what about the Flowmaster Super-40 muffler? I just want the sound, not the preformance.

You should be fine with the 265/35/18's.

Milos 01-22-2006 08:07 PM

Actually I think it was you......... with the 265/35's :poke:

Lances03SVT 01-22-2006 08:08 PM

Yes it was.I have the 265's on the front and there is alot of room for a little more drop.

You see? There you go buddy, you're my hero, and you're influencing my purchases. How does that make you feel? Powerful, almighty, or just helpful? Choose wisely

I guess that means parking at the back of the lots eh?

bassani all the way!!!! The mufflers even in the higher rpm's on a v6 keep a deep tone.

knife13 01-23-2006 09:06 AM

The slowmaster 40's sound like ass on a v6. I would compare it to say.....farting in an empty tub.

Milos 01-23-2006 10:28 AM

I open to suggestions on the best sounding muffler on the V6 model.. I'm easily swayed by the opinion of MT members...

95bstallion 01-23-2006 01:12 PM

I'll get you the sound clip from the bassanied v6 it destroys all others. The guys is also running no cats and it would usually sound like ass.

Milos 01-23-2006 01:38 PM

::p too bad I have cats
