I've been lurking around for a while with my V6.

2002 Sonic Blue
3.8L V6

I started with wheels first (2004 Cobra SVT w/Stock F1's), then within 2 weeks I had Eibach Proline Springs put on. Next came Window Tint. SHortly afterwards I covered the stock fabric seats with Charcoal Katzskin Leather.

Next I did a few MT cheap accessory mods:

Grille Delete
Chin Spoiler
Licenese Plate Frame
Black Shorty Antenna..

Most recently I have tapped into the stock MachMP3 system with an Alpine Amp and 2 Infinity Reference Series 10" Subs. DiabloSport Predator Tune, and a K&N Repalcement Air Filter.

I love my Mustang. With what little I've done (less than $4K total), I've took a nice little stock V6 car and made it very fun to drive. The small performance tweaks combined with Tires and Springs make it handle twisty roads like a champ, and the leather, tint, and sound package make it feel 100% more sporty behind the wheel.

It's not a GT, no... but It's a light, fun to drive, easy on the eyes car that I get compliments on everytime I go somewhere in it.

I'll probably get a 06GT a few years down the road and keep this V6 in the stable, but until then, I'm going to enjoy the Sixer!

Also that paint needs a surface to bond too so sanding is neccessary id also use a primer to if it was me then sand that down, but it is your project.

+1 Thats exactly my deal...now with the side exhaust on and the lowering springs (which I hope the mechanic gets to install them today), and my race stripes and rear light tints, I will be SOOO much closer to my shelby look. From there it'll just be the new roush front end, c-pillar's and cobra spoiler and gagiggity I'm Gadone! (sorta) then it's diving into the engine for some N/A hp...

I look at it this way, your not guna pick up a girl flyin by, but if you set her in cruise and look damn good doing it... it's ON!

This is how i feel exactly i dont like loud exhaust, i just cruise at the speedlimit and accelerate real slow. My car might look rice , but when i roll into the local town it sure does turn alot of heads and i get respect for not tearing the streets aparts and miss treating my baby

well guys i am happy to say that in the past few days things have came togeather quite well... first off...

i got my Black Saleen rims 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the back.. now i gotta buy tires..
i dont got much money so i think i am gonna go with Sumitomo tires like 275/40/18 back and 245/35/18 front... we will see.

also i got my tail light tint in, and waiting to install that.

then i ended up getting black projector lights... there getting installed now.

i also got my front Saleen bumper, its getting installed with the lights... ill make sure to take lots of pictures when i get my car back...

the next big thing i got planned to do is the exhuast setup... problly wont start on that though till.... next month... then once i get the exhuast done ill finish the rest of the Saleen kit... then ill be done with exterior mods and move on to adding some minor HP here and there...

p.s. i also decided to go with the 3 piece Saleen wing soon i LOVE the way the 3 piece looks... (right now i am wingless and liking it)

As for me

- Side Exhaust (today hopefully)

- Lowering Springs

- Rear Tailight Tint

- Shelby Racing stripes

- Strut bar painted and installed (Hopefully it fits had some fitment problems)

- Possible Short Throw, depends how much money is left**
So a couple things have changed...

The Side Exhaust is installed, tint is on, Racing Stripes are on the back burner now, I gave the strut bar to my friend with a white GT cuz it didn't fit my car, and I'm selling my taillights, maybe they will go towards a set of Front Projector lights...

But as for right now the Short Throw shifter is def. guna be my next mod, along with a shorter clutch quadrant...

i dont trust ebay... if you get scammed ebay basically tells you to go f*ck yourself... so id rather deal with someone personally. i went to the k2 motors shop... its like a small place... but i didnt know they offered free shipping. but nice place and everything. i highly recommend them if your looking for some stuff they got...
