-Mach 1 Chin Spoiler (yesterday) :punk:
-Paint Brake Calipers Red
-Paint Interior Plastic Bezels Red (still experimenting with the most durable way to paint it. I tried Krylon Fusion with like 5-6 coats on another black piece of plastic and it chipped. I sprayed a clear coat on that plastic today and we will see about the results of that. Any suggestions?) :wallbash:
-K&N FIPK
-Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs
-Install 6 Disc Changer (still figuring that out...check out the CD player post in the lounge from a couple days back.) :helpsmili
-Chrome Saleen 18x9 and 18x10 for the spring :D
-Eventually 3.73's with Tuner

No, I didn't sand it. I read a couple posts where people hadn't sanded anything and they said it didn't chip. The clear coat made it a little more durable, but it still chipped. So would sanding the plastic most likely solve that problem. If so, what grit? I just don't want to do anything and have it not look good later. I am very meticulous about things like that :shifty:

Milos 12-29-2005 09:57 PM

in october, i hit a puddle right when first and second gears were shifting, swerved out into the opposite lane, nailed the front end of the saleen kit into the curb, cracked the thing 4 inches up from the bottom of the piece (it's fiberglass..)

i had to resin coat it, ect blah blah but, BUT, the point of that story is, you use a heavier grit paper (lower numbers) to get bulk stuff off, and then you gradually use finer and finer paper until its so smooth it blends right with the original coat and clear coat, get it as fine as the stock coat is... and then sand it even more just in case, then seal, and repaint... never know what hit me :shifty:

but in case you're wondering, for the repaint I did a 50 grit, then a 100 grit, then a 150 grit, and finished with a 220 grit sand...
