'95 Stock... can YOU make her fly?
 

Alright hey everyone I'm new to this forum and I was especially interested in all the members that are here. Personally I have no exceptional knowledge of cars which is what brings me here.

I've got a 1995 V6 red mustang. It has pretty much stock everything except the Alternator has been replaced and the clutch is giving way fast (will be replaced here in the next couple of weeks) Now I, like all of you i'm assuming, love my fast cars. I'm looking for someone with an acceptional knowlodge of cars who can help me make my car fly. I want it to look, sound, and perform like the best but I have no idea where to start. first question is what's the budget?
other wise i would suggest for sound an exhaust system,
then a CAI,
Gears,
Tuner,
short throw shifter kit
And if the money is there a Supercharger/turbocharger and/ or Spray :)

If you have any decent kind of money get a freakin m-90 supercharger kit and you will be running with gt's easy with it setup right.

M90's are all over ebay like $300 i've seen...or just jugg her @ss with a 150shot...she'll fly quick 1 good time.

the blower of the sc t-bird is still a single port heads and intake setup its a sad intake setup. i would just do a head swap to the 99+ intake and heads these are known as split port heads and intake. and flow alot better then the single port stuff can. then a small shot of juice like a 75hp should would put you into the mid 13's with some support mods and good driving.

but this is just one of many things you can do. you really need to pick the path you wanna go then you can figure it out from there, like n/a,blown,nitrous etc...

I want her to fly multiple times so nos would be a bit expensive and troublesome, I've already thought of that one lol.

You can get most stuff here MT.

Go to ebay and find a eaton m-90 kit and i will find the link of all the parts you need, but it will make your single port a brand new car.

Man where to begin. Seems like you're only conserned about performance right now so lets start there,let's go ahead and start with the basics:
1. Short throw shifter ( I would recommend MGW)
2. Rear end gears
3. True Dual exhaust

After those mods you really need to go ahead and decide what you want to do so you don't spend money on parts you will later not need. You could go N/A and actually keep the single port set-up, the single ports have shown fantastic flow numbers sometimes better than ported and polished split ports when they are ported and poilished. I wouldn't recommend the M90, yes you'll have nice torque but you'll also have lack luster Horsepower and you'll need better internals since that blower causes so much stress on the rods and pistons especially. I need to know your budget and whether you want to stay N/A, get supercharged, or turbocharged. Because in the end to be fast with our cars you will need forced induction...PERIOD!

You have no idea what all is involved in that swap do you... Trust me it'll take much more than $300 to do it right.

It is an option, how many miles do you have on the car? It really doesn't matter with a supercharger like that you will want a forged rotating assembly. But I just can't justify that swap there's much better stuff you could go with...

Or you can use Nitrous :D

Yes, 300 dollars prolly isnt gonna get you the complete package for me though i paid 120 for the whole car just cause i know the guy and it had a warped head gasket :) . Anyone who hasnt worked with engines a whole lot prolly will have a very hard time with the swap. My dad is a mechanic so it wont be to costly for me other then the tune.

well since your old man works on cars do a split port swap that will give a nice power increase.
