Strut Tower Brace
I was thinking of buying a Strut tower brace for my 2000 V6, and i was wondering what is involved with the install. Anything complicated; that i couldn't do in my garage? Thanks

There is the hard way and the easy way. The hard way requires you to drill a few holes and then place the bolts through the holes. This means having to tighten a nut from the underside of the wheel well which is virtually impossible with the wheels still mounted and the car on the ground. This is how I did mine, and I would never do it this way again. However, this is probably the best way to ensure that it is tight.
The easy way is to thread and tap the holes from the top and then just screw in the bolts.

The hard way that Blake described is the right way. Not really enough steel in the strut towers for tapping threads into for that kind of application. Taking the wheels off would be easiest. I jacked my car up till the wheels were off the ground and that gave me enough room to get to the back of the fenderwells. Also, I put the bolts in from the back of the fenderwell so you you can just thread the nuts on from the top and just hold the bolt underneath. Make sure you use at least grade 8 hardware. Also, I coated all the mating surfaces with rubberized paint to keep from scratching up the surfaces.

You can bolt it right to the firewall but I have heard of few cracked windshields from autoxers and chose not to do it that way. Plus that was easier.

Im pretty sure you can get to other side of firewall if you remove the wiper cowl. Saw it done in magazine. Wish i got mine for $60

Nah don't say that, I mean all bolt ons are guna take a little bit of effort, CAI is probably the easiest, i mean the strut bar is just a bolt on, nothing to do with the engine persay...and it's CHEAP! i got mine off Ebay for 50 shipped...it was a Steeda...
