Default gt exhaust

wut up fellas.....i am looking at getting a gt exhaust system (maganpack with the gt adapter). And one of my friends said that without headers my car would sound like a tin can, i think that is a bunch of bull**** but i wanted to ask some guys that actually know mustangs.

Just need to know what i would need to get to have a throaty sound on my v6. i have seen other v6's with dual exhaust and when they accelerate the engine noise overcomes the exhaust noise, but i dont know if that is goning to be normal on a v6. Just need some advice.

Thanks

Most 6s that ive heard sound ok at lower rpms but when you get to like 3k and up it loses its growl.
