PowerPaks from SSM

I know these arent particularly new, but i was looking into one of these. Probably the stage 2 side. http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/p...1PowerPaks.pdf For 70hp or so without any kind of FI its not too bad of a price id say. Any opinions on this? I read the directions but its vague, is this hard to do by yourself/without a mechanic. What all is needed/should be used with this? Would you recomend something else? This isnt extremely near the future, but i would like to do so.

Uhhhh you'll need gaskets and some other shit.

Installing a cam I really wouldn't recommend unless you've done it before. Knowing the torque specs for the heads and intakes would also be good to know. Sometimes getting a good seal on the lower intake is a pain in the ass.

If you go down to "tech" on the site it'll give you a pretty detailed list of what you need.

Honestly, I don't know what sort of power you want or what you want to do with the car.

If you're looking for a fast street car and still want to have a v6, I'd recommend going with a 4.3 stroker and either set it up for some form of forced induction, or NA, and the cam size depending on if you have to smog the car or not..

But with that I'd probably do it over again a little differently. Find myself a vortech supercharger for the v6 or a turbo kit, and setup the car with a lower compression, remove the IMRCs from the lower intake, and go that route.

If you just want a little more oomph when you drive, then yea, go for the power pak and do it that way.

You'll still need to tune the car after the work is done, regardless.

Im just lookin for some more oomph, without spending up the ass. I know TMA used to make turbo kits for 3600 but im lookin for something cheaper than that for sure.

Find a used procharger or vortech? You'll still be spending in the range of 3 grand after you buy all the gaskets, etc.
