Starting car

Ive got a 98 v6 and for some reason when i go to start it i have to turn the key for 6-8 seconds but when i turn it off and restart it couple minutes laiter it turns on normally fast as it should be. and it s not because its cold out either and suggestions?:confused:

Could be your Starter.

could it be a clog in the fuel filter?
