Yes, the MSD Wires dont fit over the Accel Coil Pack..

However for my 03 V6 I put in a Screamin Demon Coil Pack with AM's MSD wires 8.5mm. Man I gotta tell you I felt a difference in horse power.

Plus the Demon Coil pack fit just perfectly where the stock Coil pack was.. Very easy installation. I would suggest getting it. This combo was great!! =)

Those wires are only 8mm.. or you can get the blue or red wires witch are 9mm according to the specs..

The MSD wires from AM is 8.5mm.. My opinion is, I always go with a brand named part..

Ah, okay. So do you know how the hell to change these wires? Im in the middle of it atm, and i got halfway through, and theres a dam clip holding the wires together behind the engine block. The wires go from the spark plugs, route behind the upper part of the block, then back to the coil pack. At the corner of the block the clip is ****** rock solid and i cant get leverage to break it or get it out. Here i kinda half *** sketched this to show a bit. Help please!

The teal X is the coil pack, the red X is where the clip is at behind the intake.

Yes it should be very simple.. are you talking about the clip that holds the wires down? If so, you need a small flat head screwdriver the pry the clip open.. there should be a small opening where you can fit the flat head in.. let me know how your doing =) glad to help

Ugh..i finally got the clip off, lil bastard got my hands torn up. Now i think i got all the clips off but when i try to pull the wires through, it wont budge. There might be another clip but it would have to be in the very middle of the motor, and there would be no possible way for me to reach it. Yea i knew the clips come off with a small flathead ill have to take a pic of what i meant later. At this point i can reach my hole arm in and pull on the wires and they dont budge and on both sides i feel no clip. Info? Also when i feel the wires on one side, and pull on the other i dont feel tension so i know something is stopping me from pulling them through.

Greaaaat...i found another clip dirctly behind the throttle body area, theres nooooo way ill be able to get it. There has to be some other way to get it than what im going, because i have small hands and i BARELY fit my hands in there to find it. This is the same type of clip as the last one giving me trouble i can tell, i might just ******* snap this one...if i can.

wow why is it all the way in the back? mine was just on top of the intake manifold. oh when you are putting your wires in, dont make it touch any metal peace especially the headers you dont want the wires to melt.. try keep them away. =) good luck

Yea i know, they make these clips so they dont do that actually..I have pictures here, i could get it if, i took off the hoses with marks on them. What are these hoses for and what could be the consequences for taking them off a short bit? At this point all i wanna do tonight is get the old wires out so i can finish the rest tommorow.

No, im sure what im doing is correct, its just the doushebags in ford decided to make 2000 verts impossible to redo wires...I gave up for the night. Tommorow ill start fresh and having a buddy of mine help. Ive gotten 3 wires on and now need 3 more. I started it up with 3 new ones on and 3 old ones and it ran pretty rough, would that be because i put half and half? Also what would it sound like if i misplaced wires on wrong plugs?

On that site is says for 01-04, is there a reason why it wouldnt work for a 00? I though they were essentially the same engine (i know the crank pulley is different).

Ugh.. ****..I got all the old wires out, and put all the new ones in. Try to crank it up and no go. It cranks but after about the 4th cylinder firing it stops. It also squeels/groans sometimes. Can anyone with a 2000 v6 do me a big favor and look at from which post from the coil pack the wire leads to which plug. If you can draw it or explain it real well id really appreciate it...I really just wanna get this over with.

You most likely have the wires in the wrong spot. You need to check to make sure they are firing in the correct order. Welcome to working on cars, **** happens. Its how we all learn

Ugh FFS...i tried the order from the link i think and it still didnt ******* work...Im assuming the big rectangle going up and down in order is supposed to be the engine block right? And the sideways one going is supposed to be where the connecting end of the wires go?

Yes The Top Box is the engine firing sequence..the box below it is the order the coil pack fires..make sure you have the wiring connected correctly to the coil pack ( it aint in order)

(even OEM coil pack fires in this order)

5 6 4

Engine firing sequence

Yea thats exactly what i did. I wrote it on my arm to make sure too. Im assuming the numbers on the coil pack go to each cylinder. Like where it says 1 on the coil pack it goes to the cylinder labeled one or coil pack labeled 6 goes to the 6th cylinder. Also i cant tell if the firing sequence is looking at it as if you were staring into the engine bay or just when your inside the car.
