My car feels slower

Hello guys i have a 2008 v6 auto and i installed bbk headers and a dual exhaust kit magnaflows. Recently i feel like my car goes slower and i when i hit the gas pedal it hears like its leaking air. How can i check if the headers are leaking can you hear it when its idleling ive tried that but it looks fine. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

You probably need a tune.

either that, or someone didn't seal a connection, or the header gasket has a leak in it....

If you have an exhaust leak it can kill power. Best way to find a leak is to start the motor and go around listening to the car and find roughly where the leak is and go in and tighten up any connections near that sound.

the best way I found, on other cars, was to start the car and have a friend take a rag in each hand. have him cover the end of the exhaust for a moment and then remove the rag. when the rag is on the pipe you should be able to hear if there is a leak and u sould be able to pin point it pretty quick.

hey! im kinda a noob. Both parents dont like cars period. So i have to teach all this to myself... but ahh can someone explain this whole "need a tune" thing. like i know about tuneing and fuel/air mixures and stuff but like where do you get a tune at? like is it at a profomance shop or what?

you have two options with a tune, you can go to a speedshop and have them tune your car on the dyno or you can mailorder a tune from any online store.
