speedometer driver gear

i am planning for my first mod to get 4.10 gears and the Xcalibrator3tuner. i have a 98 model and the tuners only fix the speedometer calibration on 99+ models, so in order to fix my calibration of my speedometer all i need is that driver gear correct? and i plan on adding mods later so can i put that into the tuner after it is installed?

you can do the plastic gear thing that corrects it, or you can just buy this and use it:

just take the lunge and get the Xcal3. i got mine in today and love it. set RPM/Speed limter for when other people drive your stang(no one else drives mine unless i tell them ok or ask them to). adjust for gears/tire sizes. turn off sensors. see if their is any problems with the stang. select an octane. etc

The plastic gear for the speedo is much cheaper then a speed cal. I am pretty sure you can correct your speedo with an xcal on older cars too 94+ so im not sure why it says you cant.

you can't because the speedometer on SN95 cars under 1999 is using a manual gear, rather than electronic speedo on the New Edge mustangs.
