I just had a stage two transgo shift kit put in my 04 3.8 v6, and have a powerdyne bd-10 older model innercooled supercharger that ill probably put in next, which a buddy of mine will instal.. he is custom making the brackets an whatnot an I bought the 3 inch aluminum piping kit for it.. Is there anyone who has had this done that has anything important to say about this instal an what, if any, adjustments ill have to do to other parts once installed....I will probably buy the escaliber tuner from this site.. that would tune it for the shift kit an charger right?

second, please god sell the powerdyne. I have seen more horror stories from those things than anything. they are cheap crap. There was a guy making a kit for our v6's years ago but he just gave up because no one wanted them. ive seen pics of the internals on those things just get torn to pieces. Don't build your car around a powerdyne.

so on this same note, it looks like all of the chargers I see are for GT's, is it even possible to put a supercharger in a '04 and prior V6? Just for future reference, I'd like to eventually do this....

![]() most procharger apps on the 99-04 v6's get 290-300rwhp. if cam/heads and intakes are added 350rwhp+ isnt uncommon. hmm that's wierd, that they don't have one for an 04. I would think the 99-03 kits should fit unless they did something strangely different on the 04. that .1 displacement shouldnt had made that much of a difference.

... just like with anything else a procharger will fit onto a 04 v6 ;/
And TBH I'd go with a procharger.. the intercooled s/c at 11psi sounds pretty nice.. And RPM sells them for 3800 someodd dollars..

I can personally tell you a 11psi procharged 3.8 will run hard with full exhaust. My freinds aka Teal Beast for those who know him had that setup for awhile it was deffinatly fast. From a dig i would kill him on a roll (he had only street tires I had drag radials) he would be even and sometimes beat me when I was wasnt spraying. It was a fun car for sure and his setup wasnt 100%.

Vortech isn't better and they make less power and they don't come intercooled. Go ATI procharger if you want a fast car.

that is just opinion.
I like procharger cause of my experience with them. So i think they are a better unit. Been running mine for years and now for hlaf a year on 15psi. people forever said don't get prochargers cause they leak. well i found out that when you don't take care of them they leak. and not a drop of procharger oil has touched the ground without me losening the bolt myself.
