when ordering xcal 3 what does it mean by additional tunes? you get 1 tune free. does this mean tunes for octane used?

just get the 1 free tune cuz the others u wont need. i thought i would need it too but i didnt, and as far as custom tunes u wont need cuz it already comes with a pre programmed tune that AM.com fixes for u so whenever u get the tuner just upload the pre programmed tune, there are alot of other selections to miss with but i would just leave them alone. also it would be better if u were running 93 octane. believe me it was worth the wait n the money
check it out

it also came with the usb cord to allow u to downloading updated tune for the Xcal 3 tuner, n also they give u a free emblem of SCT and a 2008 calender but had to throw it away cuz there were girls in it, my wife told me too

ohh tunes as in u can customize one tune the way u want it, n then on the other u can customize it another way, it like u can upload the one for racing or upload the one for daliy driver, so just get the one free custom tune it comes with

these are the selection a custom tune has

Global Spark - could move up or down from 0 degrees
Spark 0-2000 - could move only down from 0 degrees
Spark 2000-4000 - could move only down from 0 degrees
Spark 4000-8000 - could move only down from 0 degrees
WOT Air/Fuel - could only move up from 0.0% Richer
Rev Limit Drv - its at 6000rpms right now but i could change it up to 7000rpm
Rev Limit Neu. - its at 6000rpms right now but i could change it up to 7000rpm
Idle Speed Drv - could move it up or down but its at 556rpms right now
Idle Speed Neu - could move it up or down but its at 600rpms right now
Low Speed Fan - could move it up or down but its at 200 Degs F. right now
High Speed Fan - could move it up or down but its at 210 Degs F. right now
WOT Shift 1-2 - could move it up or down from 0mph
WOT Shift 2-3 - could move it up or down from 0mph
WOT Shift 3-4 - could move it up or down from 0mph
Shift Press 1-2 - could move it up or down from 0 percent
Shift Press 2-3 - could move it up or down from 0 percent
Shift Press 3-4 - could move it up or down from 0 percent

while a pre programmed tune doesnt have the Global Spark, but the pre programmed tune has a choice of 87, 91, 93 octane use, also EGR on/off, Fuel injector size - stock, 24lbs, 30lbs, Fuel Economy - Normal, Fuel Economy, MAF Size- Stock, 80mm, n i think sum other ones but dont remember

Um, i'd go with an XCal2 from Brenspeed. They are great, customer service wise, and the product was great. They don't give me shit when i need a new tune, and the tunes supposedly don't need to be tinkered with on a dyno, but i'm doing that anyway.

Id definitely go with suspension after that. Hell, even before the XCal2. You can live with a wrong speedometer.
