Hey when i shift into 5th gear my car just grinds and rattles and sometimes feels like the tranny is slipping...but 5ht gear is just insanely bad...any ideas on what it could be.... Thanks

First things first; Don't try putting it into 5th anymore. It could be a 5th gear syncro amoung many other things. For the time being don't put it into 5th as it might get stuck or even drive the car unless it's completely neccassary. I would take it to a transmission shop ASAP to have them inspect it. More than likely you will need to rebuild it especially if it does it all the time. Rebuilding a trans typically costs between $900- $1,400 depending on the shop and the extent of the repairs.

thanks yeah i have to drive to school and stuff, but ill try and stay outta 5th as much as possible, cause i drive the highway. i need to save up money too, so when they check it out i can get it done fast
