i live in reno nevada. Im looking for a shop to install some lowering springs and caster camber plates.

if i need other things to install let me know as well please.

I was wondering if i could buy these products and have a shop install them for me. Would that be possible or do i have to buy the products through them?

Id rather not, because i know what im looking for and they are cheaper on american muscle.

Yes, you can buy the parts you want online and then have a shop near you install them. Its generally a 3ish hour job and should cost around $200-250.

If you have some friends that are mechanically inclined, springs aren't that hard to install yourself. I got a couple of buds to help me and none of us really had any mechanical experience working on cars. Did it over a weekend. Couple cases of beer, a bottle of tequila and one minor ER visit later we were done.

 

Do the install yourself man, if it's anything like the civic I worked on it should just be a few bolts and nuts, best to use a spring compressor as well.

 

i was thinking about lowering the car with H&R sport springs about 1.5 inches or so.

Would i need caster camber kit for the eibach springs? lowering about 1.1 inches.

or since it was cheaper i was thinking about getting the ford racing springs (C springs.) would this be a better choice if im going to install myself?

If it was easy of course i would do it my self. Let me know what you think. I dont need performance or anything (v6) id rather have a nice looking car. I think stangs are the sexiest.

 

Get H&R super sports and do the install yourself - you shouldn't need C&C plates.

 

Oh yes you will...your camber will not be able to be brought into spec without them with that much of a drop...if you decide not to do CC plates the same time you do spring you will pay twice for labor...its your call...remember if you change out your springs it is highly recommended you upgrade your shock and struts as well...its the old pay me now pay me later syndrome

I went with Steeda Sports 1" to 1.25" drop and my camber is just out a hair on one side...I'm not happy with the drop so I switching up to Eibach Prokit and MM CC plates...doing the install myself this weekend
