05 wheels

Does anyone know if 17" wheels from a 2005 mustang will fit my 1998 v6?

Thanks,

Erik

pretty sure they dont. i think they hace a diff. bolt pattern. the mustang tuning guys said they wouldnt fit an 04 so i doubt theyll fit a 98.

The 2005 wheels do fit my 1998(or maybe they are not actually 2005 take-offs?). I was told (after I bought them) they would not fit, so I tried one on. It looks great, except the wheels are 17" and with the low profile tire there is a big gap in the wheel well, see the photo's. I guess I need to lower the car now.... Do the expenses ever stop when you start to upgrade the car? After I painted the car, it was begging for new wheels, I got the wheels and now I need to lower the car. The factory headlights did not look good so I had to buy projector headlights, and now the car is all show and no go so I put on a CAI, and now I want to uprade the exhausts.. Where does it end???? augh.... Good thing I sold my condo and have some extra cash. Does anyone else live in their
mustang? :laughing7 I'm trying to figure out where to install the microwave oven.

those are the 02-04 bullit rims. not an 05 rims. 05's have adifferent bolt patteren then the 94-04 cars.

aahhh.... OK... Lucky for me because the guy who sold them to me said they were O5's, and like a dummy, I believed this guy when he said they would fit my car. After I bought them people were telling me they will not fit, and I was getting ready to ruin this guys life. Thanks for the clarification on the wheels

I thought it was the backspacing that was different

backspacing?

What is backspacing? the wheels bolted on, and all the lugs fit all the holes. If these wheels are in fact from an 05, how do I know if the "backspacing" is a problem before I drive the car and mess something up.

thanks,

Erik

You are right, the backspacing is different. The bolt pattern is still the same.

You could most likely run the 05s on your car but you would just be better off and probably pay less to just buy either OEM 99-04 bullits or replicas from MT.
