Exhast on my 2001 V6
I am thinking about putting mac short headers, flowmaster hi-flow cat system, and a pace-setter offroad h-pipe. I want the deep spund but not that higher pitch. Any ideas or soundclips to help me out.

yea that will give u the deep sound at low RPMs. but higher up any v6 will get a little raspy. cant help that.

go for flowmaster 2 chamber with turn downs. That will give you the sound you are looking for.

iwill tell you what i told theother guy looking for an exhaust system
i my 1999 v6, i have the flowmaster force II exhaust system #17275. i ordered it off of jegs.com, and it was about $400.00 after shipping and handling. beleive me, its a big change from the stock v6 exhaust. it sounds, really good for a sixer, and i have fouled mostly everyone into thinking my stang is a V8. but some still know its a 6 from either the rims,or my back bumper, or just because they are good at knowing cars. anywayz, i highly recomend it, it bolts straight onto the cat, and goes into a Y pipe into two super 40 series mufflers, and then dual exit with stainless steel tips. here are some sound clips of the flowmaster force II http://home.ripway.com/2005-4/294484/mustang021.MOV http://www.proficientperformance.com...g_suv_perf.mp3 |
Go to www.mustangexhaust.com they have a s**t load of clips. You just have to register to listen to them.

When i had my 98 v6 I had a Mac shortie headers, Mac o/r h pipe and flowmaster 40 series on dumps. It was loud and everyone thought it was a 8. No one ever thought it was a six until I showed the motor. The only problem I had with it was the interior noise, it got annoying sometimes. Minus that, it was loud and sounded really good.
Side exhaust sounds really good too. Buddy of mine has mac shorties, hi flow catted H pipe and borla mufflers going to side exhaust. Sounded really good, like a 8. |
