this guy was just like me when i was new. NONSTOP questions. Its ok.

yeah read the link above.

Chip and a tuner are different. Chip is on your computer and tuner is plugged into your obdI 2 port. so technically to answer no you don't need a chip you could use a hand held tuner.

if properly tuned, the chip will give you the same performance as the tuner. with the tuner YOU can control the paramiters (sp?) the chip gives you no adjustment options, you MUST get a tuner to tune the chip OR take it to a tuner, ex: justin @ vmp.

yea i was gonna "get pissy" on my last post on this topic but i took a breath...and u did it for me, lol. pony dude, use the search feature, it's helped all of us a billion times and some of the replies may cover some of your future questions, we're not trying to be assholes, but when ya got someone askin simple shit that's been covered multiple times, it gets old.
