you can always go to the junkyard and find one.

The first question you must ask is..."Do I need one?"

dallas,texas
i appreciate it man

spike_africa 05-10-2005 05:48 AM

well the rear is here in Orlando, Fl. i can give his email if you want to ask him about it.

raindamier 05-10-2005 02:41 PM

8.8 rears are nice if you blow out your stock rear end and need a new one or you are pushing a lot of HP and don't want to risk blowing it out. I blew mine out on my 98 thats why I went out and bought a new one. Stock 7.5 rears can take 300+ HP easy, there are several people doing it.
You can also go to a junk yard and get a Ford Ranger rear end as they have t loks and 3.73's already.

see idk if i actually need a 8.8 if i can get a locker with w/ bigger gears for the 7.5 that would prolly bemy first choice

which is why I asked you if you NEEDED one in the first place...if you're not planning on making serious power and/or using slicks at the track, I would most definitely just get a tlock and better ratio for it

Mikes04stang 05-10-2005 07:10 PM

i couldnt find a locker for the 7.5 i figured i needed to go w/ 8.8 to get em both spinnin

They are everywhere...if you're lookin to get a new one (always a good idea), there are several places online that sell them for a decent price. If you're looking for a used one, try ebay or a v6 mustang site.
