Default flowmaster 40 series or magnaflows

ok my next mod is dual exhaust. iv listened to clips of different mufflers, i like the sound of the magnaflows and i like the sound of the flowmaster 40 series. iv noticed a lot of people from this site and alot of my friends have flowmasters 40 series but iv called a bunch of muffler shops and they have all recommended magnaflows. from the clips iv heard, i like the sound of them both, i just cant choose. can anybody give some pro's and con's of both mufflers?

i dont really have pros or cons, but i have a flowmaster 40 series, ive had it on for about six months and i love it, the sound is beastly, this year im buying another and making my own custom exhaust but, i have heard the magnaflows in reel life on a v6 and it is wimpy. they are both good mufflers, just find a good site and buy one like this site here, http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2512A0A0.aspx

im sure you could even find it cheaper

magnaflows sound GREAT on a GT or Cobra but i agree ^ . they do not sound beefy on a six, more border-line ricey. my flowmasters sound really good because they are much deeper than magnaflows would be for my car. i'd stick with the flows and u'll even save some $.

well magnaflow is kinda like a glasspack but not. Its not all stright through like a
glasspack. Yeah go with the flowmaster 40's but make sure you ask for the turbo flow 40s they are a tiny bit louder.

Can't comment on the magnapacks. But i can say that my flowmaster (still got just the one) never sounds ricey at all, even at high RPM's. Although i have the 4.0 not the 3.8 so that may change things too.
