IAC removal

Are there n e special steps i need to know to remove an idle air control valve?

nope, its just a simple un-plug, unbolt, clean, and or replace, and put it back on and plug it back in thats it.

Is that the plug above the mass air meter? and if so wat should i clean it with?

it won't be near the mass air meter, should be near the intake plenum. i usually use carb cleaner to clean out the carbon in the IAC

well, i pulled it off (which was easy as hell) and it wasn't dirty at all. still, i sprayed some brake cleaner on it and cleaned what little deposit there was... long story short it didn't solve my problem at all, so i'm either looking at having to get a brand new IAC or maybe something is wrong with the computer
