i just got my first car, about a month ago. and yes its a mustang. Its a 1999 silver V6. I am really looking to make it a total bad @$$ car. so i am wondering what to buy. My brother has a 1986 Trans-am and hes really into cars, and he has shown me what he thinks i should get.
So first off, my mustang needs an Exhaust system ( please keep in mind that i am 15 years old and dont have ajob, so dont suggest things i cant afford.) So anyway i am looking at ( and probably gonna buy this) 389-17275K 1999-02 V6, 2-1/2'' System, Dual-Out Rear-Exit with Stainless Tips (7) $379.99. its a flowmaster force II off of jegs.com. yea its kinda pricey, but i have $600.00 dollars to spend on my car. also my car dosent have a spoiler, so i am choosing between these two spoilers http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog....odelTemp=&idB= http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog....odelTemp=&idB= i dont know which one i like more. so maybe you can help me with that. also i was going to buy a cold air intake from mustang tuning.com, but.... they are always out of stock........ anywayz other things i am going to get done ( oncei get the money) is black outs for my headlights and rear tail lights, and tinted windows. anywayz, please give me some suggestions!!! thanks |

so you want ot make it bad ass by adding flowmaster and tints and head light covers?
If you want to be bad ass, then go get long tube headers h-pipe some mufflers that wont be loud cause v6's sound awful no matter what. then run a 100 shot of nitrous. then i would say mid 13's is bad ass.

Flowmaster sucks in my opinion. Not only does everyone have it but it drones like crazy on highway speed, and is also very expensive. Heres what I did:
Buy 2 Mac Flowpath mufflers off of ebay: $110 shipped. Take it to the muffler shop and tell them to cut off the Y pipe and fabricate an H pipe and put in the mufflers: $120 Then your done.

any objections to me getting a flowmaster force II dual exhaust? #17275
You cant get an exhaust system based on someones opinion. I have flowmasters and they sound awesome with no drone. Now the slps drone like crazy but some people like that and some dont. In the video section of the forum there are many posted sound clips which you should listen too. Also mustangexhaust.com has many but remember they are all v8 setups. |

Your 15, You have a mustang, and you don't have a job.
I would save the 600 bucks for insurance, new tires, and the new speeding tickets you'll have. Then when you get a job and learn how to get away with having fun in a car. I would buy a complete exhast kit. The main thing you have to look for is sound. Flowmaster can help you choose the right mufflers for your application. You will love the new sound of a Cold air intake and they can be bought off ebay for around 30 bucks. Just beware that once you start modifying you will never wan't to quit. |

i dont have to pay for insurance ,my parents pay for that ( only cause they paid for both of brothers insurances) but i do have to buy some new brakepads and roders for the front of my stang, cause the ones i haveon there now are shot, so thats going to be some were around $70 bucks causei went got some prices at my local autozone. so them i think i am going to go ahead and buy the flowmaster force II exhaust system and some smoked light covers for my car, off of jegs.co

Best thing to do is listen to setups and make a decision. Look at the video section of forums http://www.mustangtuningforums.com/f...splay.php?f=42
and mustangexhaust.com. There are all v8s so keep this in mind. |
