Well the first thing is to decide on what size wheel you are going to have. Most likely a 17". I would get some Kumho's for the street. You can always get some at a good price.

street tires I would go with p265/40/17 I like the tread pattern look and price of the Fuzion tire that is sold at the Bridgestone/Firestone dealers. (no I don't work for them) I was told you can purchase that for under 120 per tire? I don't know much about the draglite wheel other than I have seen them offered in 15 inch sizes, you want to find a tire for drags that measures aprox 26 inch o.d. and aprox 10 inch wide? I have seen aftermarkeT 17X9 wheels that look like a cobra wheel but claim to weigh only 21 lbs each,I would use the BF Goodrich drag radials on the back.

275/40/17 would be the safest largest tire for that rim,315/35/17 for 17x9

Thumbs up

If you happen to get your hands on the January 2005 edition of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords, they have an article entitled, "Fit and Finsish". They are many respected wheel & tire suplliers that give advice as to what wheel/tire combination will fit both Fox bodies ('79-'93) and '94-'04 mustangs. It was a real help for me as I now think I'll get 275/35/18 Nittos instead of 265/35/18.

P.S. They don't mention drag strip rims/tires. :color:
