I'll get the 05's tomorrow when I can refer to my post-it note on what the correct sizes for those 18's and 20's are.

on the 18x10's I thought the best size was 295/35/18s, I could be wrong, but that's what I heard.

Yea 295/35/18's are the most common. The 315/30/18's are all DR's and cost around $300+.

what is the biggest tire you can run on a 93 gt mustang with FACTORY 16 INCH PONY WHEELS? thanks.

whitethunder46 02-11-2006 06:03 PM

Yea, I too definately say that 295/35/18 is best for a 18x10. One it's safer if you get stuck in hard cornering and two tires are MUCH more easier to find in that size.

I would make the list that was all the acceptable size tires for each size rim.

yep 315 means it's wider...the 35 means its not gonna be as tall as the 55 series...so you should be good, and you'll get 3 fingers on the back w/ the 315's

here's some pics of my cars tires.

I have the 315/35/17's on the back, 275/40/17's on the front w/ an Eibach Sportline Lowering Spring Kit.

Dave04Mustang 04-02-2008 08:30 AM

Question? For a 18x8.5 wheels "front" & 18x9.5 wheels "rear" is 265/35/18 tire "front" & 295/35/18 tire "rear", good tire/rim combo!?? just wondering.... thanks!

295 Might be a little wide for a 9.5 rim but it can probably be done, 285 is safe, 295 check the manufacturer's specs for suggested rim width.

Tires for 2008 Mustang Convertible

Help: Being I am no longer married to my gear-head husband, for the first time in my adult life I am left to buy tires on my own  I have a 2008 Mustang Convertible and would love some "professional" advice on correct size, what kind, etc. I live in South Florida and the weather here is brutal on tires (not to mention my rag top). Thanks!

Here's the Wheels that I finally decided to order for my
White 2000 GT mustang..

I'm going with the 18x9s 275s in front and 18x10 285s in the rear..
This is AMs package deal with the Nitto Tires

Here's the wheels on a similar car...
The only thing I don't like much is the 35 series tires.. I am thinking the 40s would be better.. . Also I dropped my front and back 1.25 inches. I want to try to fill the fender gap as much as possible and not have to run shoe string tires http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...lies/smile.gif ..
Anyone here have the same wheels? Please share your opinion of them.
