How well are these tires? Think I would hook at the track with some 315/35/17 Deep Dish? Just doing some research guys.

Differences btwn the 1's and 2's......just the pattern i'm guessing?

Lances03SVT 11-22-2005 06:03 PM

Pattern and cost. The II's are supposed to be high performance summer tires.

It probably wouldnt make much of a difference if it's on the same Z rated rubber it's laying down even though I like the v pattern the 2's have. I looked on tirerack and they dont sell the 315/35/17 in the 2's only in the 275/40/17?

By the way whats the tread wear on these babies?Couldnt find it.

I have had mine for about 10k and they should last 15 - 20k I would say depending on how you drive etc.. They suck when it gets below freezing, but I think they all do.

I have also had the II's, buut they were in stock size. The HTRZ have a much more old school tread.

I think I dont have to worry about the freezing weather in Florida I have never seen anything below 43 degrees.........thats not to shabby for a Z rated tires. I've heard some balance issues on them. DO you thinks the 2's last a bit longer?

I saw....you have HTRZ's on the read and on the front HTRZ 2's on the front if i'm correct..You need to let me know on how they hook. Either way for the price I really cant beat them and at Tire Rack I can make payments.....but I got a awesome deal from wheelreplicas.com unfortunitely I cant make payments with them...But I have a month to consider the options and find loop holes.

MT really really really needs to sell tires...lol

I am not sure. The 2's came on my car when I bought it so I don't know how long they were there. I align my car about every 5k miles, so they wear fine. I only pay $29 for an alignment.

I have them on mine, but like springs just got them recently. They seem to hook a lot better than my old ones (go figure, those were 245's) but I like em. One negative, they sling rocks and pebbles like mad, I need to look into some of those rear bumper protector thingys. Cant beat them for the price either.
