Default how Big on a 17X8

I was wondering if I can run a 275 on stock rims of a 2004 for the back?

That's probably too big...I would go with 245 or 255.

255 is about as far as I would go on a 8" rim.

probably depends on how much you like the bulge. when I had my 20s, they were 8.5 wide and I had 275s on the rear. I would imagine that the .5" would not make that much difference. So I would say that it could be done, but depending on the aspect ratio, you may have a big bulge.

and buldge is very bad when you take corners, it will weaken the sidewalls of the tire, and over all bring down the tire life

I got the base stock gt rims(the ugly ones) and I have 275's and they fit fine.

What kind do you have on it? As fast as I seem to go threw them what would you suggest?

Finally a pic with a 99- 04 with a cobra wing on it. Ive been looking for a pic like that!

well all you had to was look at an 03-04 cobra.
