Finding tires for DD

Well I am going to need new rims and will be looking for deals this winter (black bullitt deep dish). Anyways what would it be easier to find tires for on the back 18x10 or 17x10.5... I looked a little for both but had hard luck finding ones that aren't super expensive. I know tires for these rims are not going to be cheap. Also I need a tire I can drive rain or shine.

I am open for suggestions/experiences (good or bad) on tires you have had for these size rimes (front will be 1_x9)

17s will have more availability for tires. 18s tend to be pretty hard to find tires for.

I personally like the Nitto Invos and the BFG g-force sports. Both are very good DD tires. Very quiet, excellent traction (can handle the Termi pretty well), and have good tread life. I've seen 15k out of them both with "spirited" driving lol.

Just some options. I love the look of 18s, it feels the wheel well much better. But 17s have a much better/cheaper tire choice.

I would trade my 18x9,10 saleens ANY DAY for a set of 17x9,10.5 bullitts. 18's look nice but much more expensive.

Don't you live in around some rough roads and such also? In that respect, 17" tires will typically offer more sidewall and therefore a smoother ride on rough road. I have 275/40 tires on my stock bullitts and and tell a difference when I switch to thoes in the winter. Tires are cheaper and eaiser to find for the 17s, as mentioned, but you could also consider the end result of the ride comfort or practicality.

Yea some of the roads are terrible... I avoid them if I can but sometimes it's impossible. Thats one thing I was looking for but I want to make sure I can find a tire for it that is not good in water because we get a fair amount of rain off the lake.

I have my set of stock bullitts in a relatives basement in storage, they just need new tires for all 4 of them, have thought about swapping them out in the winter months and give my FR500's a chance to get a good polishing then too. But just have to find the xtra $$$ to just do this.
