10.5" rim should do ya fine. Then you can run 315/35's BTW how do you like your 4.30's?

Must be an automatic with 4.30's. I had them in my old auto GT, and they were awesome combined with the 4200 stall.

N/A cobra guys run 4.30's...Since this guys valvetrain is upgraded 4.30s probably work best for this setup. Nothing like turning 6500 rpms and still making power.

AODE even with 6500 rpms, 4.30's will have you only at 108 mph in the quarter mile.

It has a manual I have all the bottom end sitting in a box.Waiting for the procharger. Even with the 430s its great with the cams and typhoon intake plus all the port and polish work it gets to the center of my RPM range at a sweet spot. It is a bit scary hitting 1st to 2nd on cheap cooper tires. It still has stock rims. Its not a daily driver and I wouldn't suggest 430s in a manual used that way.

Do you want a regular street rim? like a 17x10.5 oe 18.10? with either one you can use the Mickey Thompson 315 drag radials and they really hook up well.

Would rather stay with the 17s . Do you know someplace good on the M.T. I was thinking Nittos but heard they get worn fast.

Well its a drag radial so yes they get worn out fast. You will get around 13-15k miles out of a set of nitto drags, but they hook the worst out of the drag radials minus maybe Toyo. BFG drag radials will last less around 10-12k miles, but they hook better then the nittos. And the M/T's hook the best hands down, but you get only 8-10k miles out of a set.

But these are drag radials they are made with super soft compounds for drag racing. For a weekend car get the M/T's and you will love the traction. If it was a daily driver that you wanted more traction then Nittos are the ticket.

not only do they wear fast they also only come with 6/32's of tread from the get go. I run nittos on my car for daily driving and in weather below 50* Im kicking sideways into 3rd gear WOT. Like any tire they suck *** in cold weather.

Jegs and Summit should have decent deals on the M/T's. I would say 200 each for 315/35/17's.

If they don't work then you need to work on the suspension.

I am currently putting about 300 rwhp with 4.10s and a set of 315 Sumis. I have had them for four years and until August, the car had a blower on it the entire time and ran 380 rwhp. I don't know if any tire will stick like glue with gears and boost, but with my current setup the tires are plenty adequate. I could easily get 2 or 3 more years out of them.

I will likely change to DR's the next time around (probably teh MT's), but only because I don't drive the car much. The sumis are nice in the rain, though.
