Wheel spacers

Any one got these? I'm about to buy some rims and I want the wider stance that the spacer gives you. This way I don't have to buy the wider rims for the back and still be able to rotate my tires.

Its all personal preference but I really dislike using spacers on stock tire sizes, looks so skinny and with the spacer its further out there for all to see just how skinny it really is.

I'd say you'd be better off going with a wider tire all around like say 275's then using spacers. The only time I like spacers is when they're used in conjunction with a really wide tire like a 315.

I agree in about a week I'll have the money for new rims and I'm going to get 17x9's with the 275 tires. I just wanted them to stick out a bit more.

Well spacers with 275's wouldn't be too bad, but I'd go with the 1 inch instead of the 1.5 for purely cosmetic reasons, I think the 1 inch provides just the right amount of offset.

Well I thought since I wasn't getting the 10.5 rims I could make up the difference with the wider spacer.

Again personal preference, I'm a nut for tiny details in a car.

Anyway, I've owned the 1 inch spacers from AM, had them installed on my old Cobra. They're really easy to install with a thin walled socket. Just make sure you torque them down really good. Its 100 lb/ft if I recall. Don't want anything loose that has to do with tires, don't think you'd want your wheel falling off ;)

Yea I'm not a fan of makin my stang a three wheeler. I had a 84 monte carlo that had alum wheels that didn't get tightend up good and as I drove it down the road I heard the sound of something metal and small skipping along side the car looked on the road and seen some lug nuts rolling. I freakd out and pulled over to see only 2 lug nuts that were bout to come off on the front driver side tire. That isn't a feeling I want to relive.

lol yeah dude.. I've personally witnessed a guy with wheel spacers not properly tightened get into a street race and around 120 MPH his wheel buckled and broke the studs off the spacer. Needless to say he totaled his ride.
