TPMS

I got my rims in, now i am having problems cause of the TPMS sensor. Can i just have them mounted and balanced and have the truck shop at my work throw them on without sensors? Anyone see any potential problems besides being warned about tire pressure? i want these on my car already! thanks.

Whats the problem with the TPMS? I don't know what problems you would have without them but nowdays with all this hi-tech stuff, you better keep'em just in case.

The tire shop wont put the tires on without putting the sensor on the new tires. the brackets and sensor used on my car now are set for 16inch rims. Ford does not sell just the bracket at all. i would have to buy the bracket and sensor off a ford truck that has 20"rims. those are 86$ a piece. times 4. i explained that to the tire shop guy and they are ask about bending the rules for me 2marrow morning... hope this makes some sense...

You can buy new TPMS brackets from AmericanMuscle.com for aftermarket rims. $17.00

i just went through it with my new car. I bought the strap kit from am and they worked great. I also bought new sensors off ebay for 50 bucks. Mounted them on my new wheels and had them mounted. you can buy the reset tool for around 20 bucks. takes 2 minutes to do. Now i can put my stock wheels and tires on in the winter

Also if you dont want to buy the straps you can put the sensors in a pvc tube with a valve stem and fill it to the correct psi and throw it in the trunk and no light
